I was pleased to be asked to illustrate a new book cover for a retelling of Wuthering Heights to coincide with the new film adaptation. Unfortunately my design wasn’t used but I had fun working this up to finals!

Book Cover: Wicked
A year or so ago, I was thrilled to be asked by a publisher to create a new cover for Gregory Maguire’s classic, Wicked, to coincide with the film release. Unfortunately the publisher stuck with the previous cover, but I had a lot of fun working on the cover design and some patterned endpapapers.

Book Cover Illustration: The Heir of Venus
I’m excited to share some cover illustrations that I worked on with Hannah Wood, art director at Little, Brown for Laura Shepperson’s new book The Heir of Venus!
The brief morphed from a snake to a lion in the course of the commission, and I had a great time drawing both, alongside Venus’portrait. Design and background by Hannah.

Here are some Mary Poppins characters I illustrated for HarperCollins’ reissued versions of the classic children’s series.
The covers were designed by the lovely Hannah Marshall at HarperCollins - I was commissioned to create silhouettes of the iconic character. These were then framed by Hannah using Shutterstock illustrations around each cover. Thanks as always to my agents at The Artworks!

Book Cover Designs: Harlequin Books
I thought I’d share a really fun book cover series that I worked on for Harlequin Books; Molly MacRae’s The Highland Bookshop Mystery Series.
The series is set in a bookshop in the idyllic (but rather dangerous!) Scottish town of Inversgail. I’ve loved reading these cosy crime novels and trying to bring something new to the composition for each cover. A big thanks to Art Director Tara Scarcello and to my US agents Mendola Artists.
Book Cover Design: The Moon and Stars
I had a lot of fun designing and illustrating the cover for Jenna Warren’s debut novel, The Moon and Stars, published in October by Fairlight Books.
I was commissioned by Rebecca Blackmore-Dawes at Fairlight to create a cover that would capture the love of drama and musicals depicted beautifully within the novel, along with the iconic old theatre setting, decorated with celestial imagery. The story features a strong nod to The Phantom of the Opera.

I’m excited to share the paperback cover for Harriet Evans’ wonderful and darkly enchanting The Beloved Girls, published by Headline Books.
I loved working on the hardback cover illustration, so was thrilled to revisit it for the paperback.
