Dublin Zoo

I was thrilled to be commissioned by Bright Agency to work on Dublin Zoo’s refurbished Rainforest House.

Working with Bright, I illustrated multiple large-scale and smaller infographic artworks for a variety of displays and interactive elements. I worked on various rainforest assets to use across branded material, as well as glass decals for the animal enclosures.

I also created illustrations for the house exterior, which talented mural artist Alexandra brought to life.

Editorial Illustration: BBC Wildlife Magazine

Here’s something a little bit different… I was asked by BBC Wildlife Magazine to create a James Bond themed illustration. The author Ian Fleming was greatly inspired by nature, so I was asked to work with negative space and iconic Bond imagery, alongside animals, birds and insects.

Branding & Packaging: Bettys Christmas Campaign

I was absolutely thrilled to work on the Christmas 2024 packaging for the classic Yorkshire-based brand, Bettys.

Known for their craft bakery and beautiful tea rooms, the team at Bettys asked me to create illustrations for their Christmas range; including mince pies, Christmas puddings, gift bags and even an apron design.

As part of research for the project, I was invited to visit Bettys bakery and their Harrogate tea room. I got to meet the lovely team and sneak a peek behind the scenes, watching the talented bakers hard at work. The highlight was definitely getting to sample lots of their delicious baked goods and chocolates!

I thoroughly enjoyed creating the seasonal patterned frames, featuring lots of ingredients from their recipes, alongside the bakery itself.

Book Cover: Wicked

A year or so ago, I was thrilled to be asked by a publisher to create a new cover for Gregory Maguire’s classic, Wicked, to coincide with the film release. Unfortunately the publisher stuck with the previous cover, but I had a lot of fun working on the cover design and some patterned endpapapers.

Book Cover Illustration: The Heir of Venus

I’m excited to share some cover illustrations that I worked on with Hannah Wood, art director at Little, Brown for Laura Shepperson’s new book The Heir of Venus!

The brief morphed from a snake to a lion in the course of the commission, and I had a great time drawing both, alongside Venus’portrait. Design and background by Hannah.

Book Cover Characters: Mary Poppins

Here are some Mary Poppins characters I illustrated for HarperCollins’ reissued versions of the classic children’s series.

The covers were designed by the lovely Hannah Marshall at HarperCollins - I was commissioned to create silhouettes of the iconic character. These were then framed by Hannah using Shutterstock illustrations around each cover. Thanks as always to my agents at The Artworks!
